Welcome to Chase City Living!

As editor and publisher for Chase City Living, let me be the first one to welcome you to our town's newest magazine.

My hope for this magazine is to highlight the great things that are happening in Chase City. Our town has a rich history, and while I appreciate history (and even have a degree in it!), there is danger there. The temptation is to get stuck in the "I remember when" mindset, when I believe we have even better days ahead of us.

Don't believe me? That's completely fair. The problems our town has did not happen overnight, but the solutions won't happen overnight, either. Through this issue and future issues, we will introduce you to people who have a compelling vision for Chase City's future and are actively at work trying to better our community.

We have the power to shape our reality and to build the future we want to see. We cannot change the past but we can take steps now to brighten our future along with the futures of our children and grandchildren.

We will publish this magazine quarterly - four times a year - and it will be located at businesses and in other spots around town for FREE pickup.

At this time we do not have the capacity to develop and maintain a subscription list. If you wish to share this magazine with someone from out of town, feel free to pick up an extra issue and mail it or direct them to the digital edition.

We have invited a number of Chase City businesses and organizations to advertise within the magazine to help us pay for the design, printing, and distribution costs. I want to thank them for their support and I encourage you to visit them.

Finally, I want to hear from you about what you want to see in this magazine. What stories or topics should we cover? Call me at (434) 446-6644 or (434) 533-5413 or email me at nathan@southernpinere.com. I'd love to hear from you! ◼️
